Cool website for the RV-lovin' types
OK, let's get this straight right from the start. I'm not a big "camping" person. Never have been and probably never will be. Something about sleeping on hard ground, getting woken up by the neighbour with the Harley Davidson at 6am, and the incessant noise of "nature" (which mostly includes humans) and all the other factors (always smelling like smoke or "tent", mosquitos and other bugs, trains, etc.) have always kept me at arm's length from the camping experience.
That said, I'm also a cheap bastard and night after night, even in the cheap hotels and motels, the bills can add up. Also, it's nice to have all the creature comforts of a hotel but many of them are very disconnected from nature and you miss out on many beautiful sites and experiences.
So what's the alternative? I don't want to set up a tent when it's dark and sleep in it when the weather isn't cooperating. I certainly can't afford the big-ass RV and don't want to drive a bus around anyway. I also don't need satellite TV and a Sony Playstation. You can only sleep in the car so often, and that's not all that fun to do. So something in the middle would be good. Something a little stronger, solid, and roomier than a tent. But not as large and unwieldy as a big RV.
How about a T@B? Check this site out.

I think if I was going to do any long term traveling around North America and the Parks system this would be a good thing to have. Obviously it wouldn't be perfect for all road trips because in the big cities you want to be close to the action and you'd have to find a place to park it. But for all other trips out in the countryside, to the beach, through small towns and vacation spots, I think this would be a great little home.

Nice...I like it. A happy medium between cheap hotel and tent.
